will be available this fall. The CD is entitled "Shoreline in Spring"
and contains a variety of selections chosen from this years' spring performances.
Testimonial
"I
must say I was extremely impressed with the recent Shoreline Ringers concert at our
church. Although I am a retired music educator and performing musician, I had very little
exposure to bell choirs; my expectation was that of high piercing metallic sounds that
would be novel but not able to endure a long listening. Wow!! Was I most pleasantly surprised!
The depth and variety of sounds produced by the ensemble were beautiful and created wonderful
sonorities and textures. Every arrangement was expertly crafted and captured the essence of a
each piece. The group performed with incredible precision and musical flair. The meticulous
articulation of each composition reflected very disciplined rehearsal techniques and
professional dedication by the conductor and every member of the ensemble.
I wish you all a long future in bringing joy to audiences.
Thank you for a wonderful concert."

June 24th-27th, 2011, UMass Amherst
AGEHR Area 1 Festival/Conference
On June 24th-27th Shoreline Ringers participated in the AGEHR Area 1 Festival / Conference at UMass Amherst. The group played in the bronze division and performed in a mini concert. Six of our ringers were clinicians and Jean Degan was the chair of the event. Rev. Dr Mobby Larson, also a ringer, gave the sermon at the Sunday morning worship service, Andy Wallace played 2 handbell solos and a number of others participated in the vocal choir for worship.
Michael Steele drove all over CT. RI and southern MA picking up numerous octaves of borrowed
bells for the classrooms. A number of the other ringers helped unload and place all the bells
and chimes collected by Michael and another bus load brought by Jeff Heath in the classrooms
and set them up. On Sunday, all those bells were collected, organized and put back of the truck
and bus for the return ride to their home church.
It proved to be a very busy weekend for all of us, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time together,
especially relaxing at the end of a busy day.
